What is digital signage?
Digital signage uses digital screens and technologies like LCD, LED, and projection to display content such as images, videos, streaming media, and information. It has three core elements:- Hardware: the physical parts such as screens, media players, smart TVs, and mounts.
- Software: the content management system (CMS) and cloud storage that manage what’s on the screens.
- Content: what’s shown, including images, videos, apps, social media, websites, and more.
What is the Pickcel console?
The Pickcel console is the web app you use to publish content to your signage screens. It has several modules; four of them form the complete publishing cycle:- Screens: add and manage your displays.
- Media: upload images, videos, and PDFs, and manage apps.
- Compositions: design how your content is laid out on screen.
- Publish: push schedules, Quick Plays, and default compositions, and see what’s currently assigned.
