Common questions about scheduling and publishing content to your screens. For the full walkthrough, see the Publish overview.

What’s the difference between Quick Play, Scheduling, and Default Composition?

  • Quick Play: instantly shows content on a screen for up to 24 hours. Ideal for emergency messages; it takes precedence over all other content.
  • Scheduling: plan content across any number of days, set repeat patterns for specific weekdays, and include multiple compositions in a single day.
  • Default Composition: the content a screen plays when no Quick Play or schedule is assigned. It’s also what plays automatically when a new screen is added.

What is a day sequence, and how do I add one?

A day sequence is an ordered set of compositions played across a day at the timings you set. It isn’t a standalone feature; you create it while building a schedule:
  1. Make sure the composition you want is already created.
  2. Click Publish → + Publish, then choose Schedule.
  3. Select the screens to publish to (or skip and assign later).
  4. Name the schedule and click + Create New next to day sequence.
  5. Click a composition to add it to the sequence manager, by default it lands in the 6 am–7 am slot, which you can drag to any time slot.
  6. Add as many compositions as you need, in the order you want them shown.

Can I have multiple schedules for one screen?

No, a screen can have only one active schedule. If you assign a new schedule to a screen that already has one, the new schedule replaces the old one. To cover varied timing needs, arrange multiple compositions as day sequences within the single schedule.

Is there a specific time I must schedule content?

No. There are no fixed time restrictions; you can schedule content for any time of day, and it goes live on the device according to the schedule.

Why isn’t my scheduled content showing on the screen?

Work through these checks:
  1. Open the Screens module and click the screen name to see its details. Check whether your content appears under Currently Playing.
  2. If not, go to the Publish module and confirm the current date and time fall within the schedule’s Start Date and End Date. Adjust if needed.
  3. If the dates are correct, check that the Time Zone, Date, and Time on the player are set correctly, and reset them if not.
If the content still doesn’t appear, contact support.

Why is the default composition playing even though a schedule is assigned?

Default content plays whenever a screen has no active scheduled content for the current moment. Common reasons:
  • There’s no active schedule or Quick Play on the device.
  • A schedule is active, but no composition is assigned for that particular time.
  • The assigned content is still downloading.
  • A network issue prevented the assigned content from downloading properly.
See Default Composition to review or change the default.

Why isn’t the default content showing after a reboot?

Check the Health Indicators, the three dots in the bottom-right of the screen:
  • First dot red: no internet. Reconnect the device and the default composition resumes.
  • First dot green, second dot yellow: content is still downloading (you may see “Waiting for content”). It plays once the download finishes.
If “Waiting for content” persists, contact support.

How do I remove or stop scheduled content?

You can delete a schedule or a Quick Play from the Publish module:
  • Schedule: open the Schedule menu, click the three dots on the schedule, choose Delete, then confirm with Yes, Delete.
  • Quick Play: open the Quick Play menu, click the three dots, choose Delete, then confirm with Yes, Delete to remove it from the displays.
