The Pickcel SharePoint App lets you share information from your Microsoft SharePoint environment directly on digital signage screens. You can display SharePoint pages, news, and updates, showcase a single critical page, or present a loop of multiple pages as a dynamic slideshow, with customizable styles and the convenience of QR code access for detailed viewing.

Accessing the SharePoint App

1

Open the Apps section

Log in to the Pickcel Console and, from the left-hand navigation menu, click Apps.
2

Search for SharePoint

In the search bar, type “SharePoint” and select the app from the results.

Steps to Create Your SharePoint App

1

Sign in to Microsoft

Securely connect your Pickcel account with your SharePoint environment.
  • Click the Sign in to Microsoft button.
  • A Microsoft authentication window will appear. Enter your Microsoft credentials. If your organization uses Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), follow the prompts to complete the sign-in process.
Upon successful authentication, the app automatically fetches and displays all SharePoint sites your account has access to.
2

Select your SharePoint site and configure the display style

Once authenticated, configure how your SharePoint content will be presented on your screens.
  • Name: Give your app a descriptive name (e.g., “Company News & Updates”, “Department Intranet”, “Project Management Hub”).
  • Select Site: From the dropdown list, choose the specific SharePoint site you wish to display content from. This list is populated automatically after you sign in to Microsoft.
  • Enable Slide Show: Toggle this ON to loop through all available pages within the selected SharePoint site, creating a dynamic slideshow.
    • If ON: Enter a Post Duration (in seconds). This determines how long each SharePoint page is displayed before transitioning to the next.
    • If OFF: You will be prompted to select a single page from the chosen site to display. This is ideal for showcasing a specific, static piece of information.
  • Select Style: Choose a visual theme for how your SharePoint pages render on the screen: circle, classic, or full view style. Experiment with these styles to find the best fit for your content and brand.
  • Show QR Code: Toggle this ON to display a QR code on the screen alongside your SharePoint content. Viewers can scan it with their smartphones to open the full SharePoint page in their mobile browser for more detailed information (the viewer must have access to view the page).
3

Create the App

Once all your settings are configured, click Create App to finalize your SharePoint app. It’s now ready to be added to a playlist and published to your digital signage network.
