Steps to Create Your SharePoint App
Sign in to Microsoft
Securely connect your Pickcel account with your SharePoint environment.
- Click the Sign in to Microsoft button.
- A Microsoft authentication window will appear. Enter your Microsoft credentials. If your organization uses Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), follow the prompts to complete the sign-in process.
Select your SharePoint site and configure the display style
Once authenticated, configure how your SharePoint content will be presented on your screens.
- Name: Give your app a descriptive name (e.g., “Company News & Updates”, “Department Intranet”, “Project Management Hub”).
- Select Site: From the dropdown list, choose the specific SharePoint site you wish to display content from. This list is populated automatically after you sign in to Microsoft.
- Enable Slide Show: Toggle this ON to loop through all available pages within the selected SharePoint site, creating a dynamic slideshow.
- If ON: Enter a Post Duration (in seconds). This determines how long each SharePoint page is displayed before transitioning to the next.
- If OFF: You will be prompted to select a single page from the chosen site to display. This is ideal for showcasing a specific, static piece of information.
- Select Style: Choose a visual theme for how your SharePoint pages render on the screen: circle, classic, or full view style. Experiment with these styles to find the best fit for your content and brand.
- Show QR Code: Toggle this ON to display a QR code on the screen alongside your SharePoint content. Viewers can scan it with their smartphones to open the full SharePoint page in their mobile browser for more detailed information (the viewer must have access to view the page).
