2
Configure Alerts Based on Your Preference
Once enabled, you can choose between two alert types. Select the tab below that matches your monitoring needs:
- Periodic Alerts
- Realtime Alerts
Receive scheduled summaries of offline screens at specific times throughout the day.How it works:
2. Configure ThresholdSelect a time limit from the dropdown (e.g.,
3. Configure Alert HoursAdd at least one alert time using the time picker. Click the + button to add multiple alert times throughout the day.
- You define specific times (e.g.,
11:30 AM,02:00 PM) - At each scheduled time(Alert Hours), the system checks which screens are currently offline
- If any screens have been offline longer than your threshold, you receive a summary email report
What is Threshold?Threshold is a grace period (e.g., 30 minutes) that determines how long a screen must be offline before triggering an alert. This prevents false alarms from brief network interruptions.
- The report includes all screens that meet the offline criteria at that particular time
- This happens only during your configured operating hours
11:30 AM and 02:00 PM with a threshold of 30 minutes. Your screen goes offline at 10:45 AM. At 11:30 AM, the system checks and finds the screen has been offline for 45 minutes (exceeds threshold), so an email is sent. You’ll receive another report at 02:00 PM if the screen is still offline.Best for: receiving alerts at scheduled times throughout the day instead of immediate notifications.Configuration Steps for Periodic Alerts
1. Set Operating HoursDefine the start and end time for your business or screen operation (e.g.,10:00 AM to 10:00 PM).The system will only send alerts if a screen goes offline during these hours. If a screen turns off at 10:01 PM, you won’t be spammed with alerts.

30 minutes, 1 hour or 3 hours).

3
Add Email Recipients
Scroll down to the Email Recipients section. Type a valid email address in the input box and click the + Add button.
Repeat this for as many team members as needed. To remove a user, simply click the Remove button next to their email.

4
Save Your Settings
Once you have configured all the settings based on your chosen alert type, click the Update button at the top right corner of the page to save your settings.

Understanding Your Alerts
What does the alert email look like? When an alert is triggered, you will receive an email with:Subject:
[Pickcel Alert] Screen Down NotificationEmail Body: Contains:- Offline duration threshold that triggered the alert
- Timestamp of when the alert was generated
- Summary of affected screens
screen-down-report.csv) including:- Screen Name
- Screen ID
- Last Sync Time
- Offline Duration (in minutes)
- Group Name
- Tags
- Custom Attributes

Important Alert Behavior
Same-Day Detection:Alerts focus on screens that went offline on the current day. The system resets daily and only considers new offline instances occurring within today’s operating window. This means if a screen was offline yesterday and remains offline today, it will still be included in today’s alerts as an ongoing issue, but the system tracks it fresh each day.
