Quickplay pushes a single composition to your screens straight away, for a duration you choose. It overrides whatever is scheduled on those screens, and when the duration ends the normal schedule resumes on its own.
Quickplay plays one composition at a time, and it needs at least one screen, it cannot be saved without screens. Make sure the composition already exists before you start.

How to create a Quickplay

Open the Publish module and start a Quickplay

Click Publish in the left navigation, then click + Quickplay in the top-right corner.

Choose the duration

On the Configure Quickplay page, pick 30 min, 1 hr, 4 hrs, or Custom. Choosing Custom reveals a stepper where you set the number of minutes with the − and + buttons.A line below the buttons spells out what will happen, for example Quickplay will override any existing scheduled content and start playing immediately. After 30 minutes, the scheduled content will resume.Click Proceed →.
The Quickplay is given an automatic name such as Play - 17-Aug-2026 21:36. Click the name at the top of the page to rename it, or rename it in the Review & publish dialog at the end.

Select the composition

On the Select Composition step, click Browse compositions. Search or scroll to find the composition, select it, and click Add.Click Proceed →.

Select screens

Tick the screens that should play it. Each row shows Status, Last Seen, Current Schedule, and Default Composition, so you can confirm the screen is online before you interrupt it.Click Review.
Quickplay takes over the selected screens as soon as you publish, interrupting whatever schedule is running on them. The schedule comes back automatically when the Quickplay duration ends.
There is no Skip for now on a Quickplay. At least one screen is required, because a Quickplay starts playing the moment you publish it.

Review and publish

The Review & publish dialog summarises the Name, Type, Date range, Time slot, Composition, and Screens. Name it something you will recognise later, then click Publish.Playback starts immediately and the entry appears in the Quickplay tab of the Publish module.

Managing Quickplays

Every Quickplay is listed under the Quickplay tab in the Publish module, with its Start Date, End Date, Screens Assigned, and Tags. Click the ⋯ menu on a row for:
  • View Details, the full record of what was pushed, where, and when
  • Delete, which removes it from every assigned screen and cannot be undone
You can also start a Quickplay from a single screen. Open Screen, click the screen, and use Assign Quickplay, handy when only one display needs the announcement.
