Campaigns target employees. Desktop channels reach an employee only when their record is linked to a PC (a screen).
- Each employee uses one license seat. See usage in Settings → Company → Licenses details.
- One screen can be linked to one employee.
Add employees
Intune (auto-register)
CSV upload
Manually
- Connect your Microsoft account in Settings → Company.
- Deploy the desktop apps with Intune.
- Each PC registers under the employee signed in to Windows, and their screen is linked automatically.
- Go to Employee → Upload CSV.
- Click Download to get
employees_template.csv.
- Fill it in and upload it, then click Upload.
- The result lists how many were created and which rows failed, and why.
- Rows whose email already exists are skipped.
- Go to Employee → Add Employee.
- Enter Display Name (required). Email, Job Title, Department (defaults to
general), Mobile Phone, and Office Location are optional.
- Optionally pick an Assign Screen.
- Click Add Employee.
Department, Job title, and Office location become the group filters in a campaign’s Audience step. Keep them consistent (for example, don’t mix Bengaluru and Banglore).
Assign a screen
- Click ⋯ → Edit on the employee.
- Under Assign Screen, pick their PC.
- Click Update Employee.
- Screens are listed as
Windows edition - HOSTNAME (ID), for example Microsoft Windows 11 Home Single Language - DESKTOP-90FPN71 (2E86ID).
- A PC shows up only after one of the desktop apps has run on it.
- Screens already linked to another employee aren’t listed.
Match the hostname to the right person. Otherwise their messages land on someone else’s PC.
Microsoft Teams user ID
- Needed only for the Teams channel.
- Filled automatically when the employee’s email matches a user in your connected Microsoft tenant.
- To set it yourself: Edit → Microsoft Teams user ID (advanced) → Edit manually, then enter the Microsoft Graph user ID.
Other actions
- Search: by name, designation, or location.
- Download CSV: exports the directory.
- Delete: ⋯ → Delete, or tick several rows → Remove.
