# How do I install the Pickcel app on a mobile phone?

> Install the Pickcel signage player on an Android phone from the Google Play Store or the Pickcel website, then pair it with a registration code.

You can install the Pickcel signage player on any Android phone, either from the Google Play Store or by downloading it from the Pickcel website.

## From the Google Play Store

Install it directly from the [Pickcel Digital Signage player on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pickcel.digital.signage), or:

    Open the **Google Play Store** on your phone and search for **Pickcel digital signage media player**.

  <Step title="Install and open">
    Open the **Pickcel Digital Signage player** result, tap **Install**, wait for it to finish, then tap **Open**.

  <Step title="Allow permissions">
    Tap **Allow** to grant the required permissions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Note the registration code">
    On first launch, the app shows a **6-digit registration code**. You'll need it to pair the device with the Pickcel console, see [Screen Registration](/screen-registration/screen-registration).

## From the Pickcel website

    In your browser, go to [www.pickcel.com](https://www.pickcel.com), open the **Menu** at the top-right, click **Resources**, then **Download**.

  <Step title="Download the right Android app">
    Scroll the download page and download the Android app that matches your phone's Android version. You can also download it directly: [Pickcel Android player (v7.2.0)](https://console.pickcel.com/players/android/digital-player-v7.2.0.apk).

  <Step title="Install and open">
    When the download finishes, tap **Open**, then **Install**. When the install-complete pop-up appears, tap **Open**, then **Allow** for permissions.
