# Reports, analytics, and alerts FAQs

> Pickcel reporting, media and uptime reports, downloading CSV reports, why uptime reports aren't generating, and email alerts for offline screens.

Common questions about Pickcel's reports and screen alerts. For the full walkthrough, see the [Reports overview](/reports/overview).

### What reports and analytics does Pickcel offer?

Pickcel provides two report types you can generate for specific days, months, or custom date ranges and download as **.csv**:

* **Media (Asset) Report**: how many times your assets (images, videos, and apps) played in loops, and the playback duration of each. See [Media Playback Report](/reports/media-playback-report).
* **Uptime Report**: how long content was displayed on each screen. See [Device Playback Report](/reports/device-playback-report).

For more on report generation, see the [Reports overview](/reports/overview).

### How do I view and download my Uptime report?

    Log in to your Pickcel account and go to the **Reports** module.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Uptime Reports">
    Click **Uptime Reports** and pick a period, **Daily**, **Monthly**, or **Custom** (with a date range), then click **Continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download">
    You'll see uptime reports for all screens. Click the **download** icon to save a **.csv** you can open in a spreadsheet.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  For the full walkthrough with screenshots, including how to read the totals and averages by day, month, or custom range, see the [Device Playback Report guide](/reports/device-playback-report).
</Note>

### Why aren't my Uptime reports being generated?

Uptime reports usually fail to generate for one of these reasons:

* The **device is powered off or offline**: turn the screen on, connect it to the internet, and allow time for the latest reports to sync.
* The **Pickcel app isn't running**: open the app and let it display content; the uptime report starts generating immediately.
* A **Clear Data** was performed mid-cycle. Reports are produced every **30 minutes**, so running Clear Data during that interval interrupts generation and you may lose that data.

If issues persist, contact [support](mailto:support@pickcel.com).

### Can I get email or SMS alerts when a screen goes offline?

**Email alerts: yes.** Pickcel's **Offline Screen Alerts** send automated emails when a screen goes offline, either in **Realtime** or at scheduled **Periodic** times. Set them up under **Settings → Alerts**. See [Offline Screen Alerts](/settings/offline-alerts).

**SMS alerts: customizable.** SMS notifications can be enabled based on your requirements.

<Note>
  Email and SMS alerts are **not enabled by default**, they are customization options. If you don't see the **Alerts** tab in Settings, or you'd like SMS alerts enabled, contact [support](mailto:support@pickcel.com) to request access.
