# How to upload and manage media in Pickcel Comms?

> Upload images and videos to the Pickcel Comms media library, tag and filter them, view details, and delete files used by campaigns and playlists.

**Media** is the shared library for every channel. Screensaver playlists, wallpapers, notification images, and ticker logos are all picked from here.

## Upload media

<Steps>
  <Step title="Click Upload Media">
    Go to **Media** → **Upload Media**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add files">
    * Drag and drop, or click **browse**. Images and videos only; multiple files allowed.
    * Each file shows a name field. Rename it here if needed.

  <Step title="Upload">
    Click **Upload N files**. You'll see **All files uploaded successfully**.

<Tip>
  Images get a default duration of 10 seconds when added to a playlist. Videos use their own length.
</Tip>

## Find media

* **Search media**: filters by name.
* **Filter**: by **Type** (All / Images / Videos) and by **Tags**.
* Sort by **Media Name**, **Size**, or **Last Updated**.

## Tag media

* In the **Tags** column, click **Add tag** on a row.
* Pick an existing tag, or type one under **Add New Tag** and click **Add**.
* Click a selected tag again to remove it.
* Tags appear under **Filter** → **Tags** once used.

## View details

Click **⋯** → **View details** on a row to see:

* Preview, **File Size**, **Dimensions**, **Duration**, **Format**
* Whether the file is used in a campaign
* Tags and audit info (created / updated, and by whom)

## Delete media

* One file: **⋯** → **Delete** → **Delete Media**.
* Several: tick the rows → **Delete** in the bar at the bottom.

<Warning>
  Media used in a playlist can't be deleted. Remove it from every playlist first, or the delete fails with **Failed to delete media**.
