# How to send a WhatsApp campaign with Pickcel Comms?

> Reach frontline and mobile employees on WhatsApp from Pickcel Comms using approved WhatsApp Business message templates with personalized parameters.

The WhatsApp channel sends an approved WhatsApp Business **template** message to each employee's phone number.

**Needs**

* WhatsApp Business connected in **Settings** → **Integrations** (see [Settings](/comms/settings#integrations)).
* At least one approved template ([Create a WhatsApp template](/comms/settings#whatsapp-templates)).
* A **Mobile Phone** on each target employee ([Employees](/comms/employees)).

  <Step title="Turn on WhatsApp">
    In the campaign's **Channels** step, turn on **WhatsApp**. It's greyed out until WhatsApp Business is connected.

  <Step title="Pick a template">
    Under **Select template**, choose an approved template. Only approved templates are listed. Click **Create template** to add one.

  <Step title="Fill in template parameters">
    For each `{{variable}}` in the template, either type a fixed value or map it to an employee field: **Display Name**, **Job Title**, or **Office Location**.

  WhatsApp only delivers templates that Meta has approved. A newly created template can't be used until it's approved.
