# How to show a Wi-Fi QR code on digital signage?

> Add the Wi-Fi Connect app from the Pickcel App Store to show a QR code that guests scan to join your Wi-Fi on your digital signage screens.

> **To ensure a smooth setup process, please have the following information ready:**

> * **Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID)**: The public name of your Wi-Fi network.
> * **Wi-Fi Password**: The password for your network.
> * **Security Type**: The security protocol your network uses (e.g., WPA/WPA2, WEP, or Open).
> * **Brand Logo (Optional)**: A high-quality image file of your logo if you wish to display it.

## Step-by-Step Configuration Guide

**1. Locate the App**

* Navigate to the **App Store** from your Pickcel dashboard.
* Use the search bar to find the **Wi-Fi Connect** app.
* Click on the app from the search results to open it.

**2. Create the App Instance**

* Click on **Create App**.
* **Name:** Assign a unique name to your app instance (e.g., "Café Guest Wi-Fi"). This name will help you identify it later in your media library.

**3. Enter Wi-Fi Credentials**

* **Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID):** Enter the exact name of your Wi-Fi network.
* **Wi-Fi Password:** Enter the corresponding password.
* **Security Type:** Select the correct security protocol from the dropdown menu (WPA/WPA2, WEP, or Open for no password).

**4. Customize Your Display**

The Wi-Fi Connect app offers three distinct themes to match your branding and display needs. You can also choose between **Light** and **Dark** modes for each theme.

**Theme Options:**

**A. Classic Theme**

The Classic theme provides a full-featured, informative display. It is ideal for standalone announcements where all information is presented clearly.

* **Message:** Add a custom instruction, like "Scan to connect to our free Wi-Fi."
* **Show Network Name:** Enable this toggle to display the SSID on the screen.
* **Show Password:** Enable this toggle to make the password visible.
* **Upload Your Logo:** Add your brand logo for a professional touch.

**B. Minimal Theme**

The Minimal theme offers a clean and simple look, perfect for modern aesthetics or for use in compositions with other media.

* **Message:** Display a short, custom message below the QR code. Other options are hidden for a streamlined appearance.

**C. Transparent Theme**

The Transparent theme is designed for ultimate flexibility. It displays only the QR code with a transparent background, making it perfect for overlaying on images, videos, or other content within a composition. No other configuration options are available for this theme.

**5. Set Display Orientation**

You can format the app to fit your screen perfectly. At the top of the preview panel, select either **Landscape** or **Portrait** orientation based on your digital signage setup.

**6. Finalize and Save**

1. **Preview:** As you configure the settings, a live preview on the right side of the screen will update to show you exactly how the app will look.
2. **Create App:** Once you are satisfied with the design, click the **Create App** button to save the instance to your media library.

You can now add your configured Wi-Fi Connect app to any composition, schedule, or screen in your Pickcel network.
